The Beginning of Open Achievement
We are extremely proud to announce the founding of an extremely ambitious & cutting edge organization…Open Achievement! I, Brian Watkins, the founder, have officially established the Open Achievement Organization today, October 5th, 2008.
The Open Achievement Organization has been created to pursue some of the biggest challenges within the subject of human achievement. Initially, we are taking on an open source research & development project of strategic human achievement (Open Achievement Project) as well as an online community centered on achievement (Open Achievement Community).
Currently, Open Achievement is in beta mode so to speak while developing our Project’s open platform (web developers wanted) and ramping up interest to launch our online community (community leaders wanted).
Open Achievement Project
The Open Achievement Project is the backbone of the Open Achievement Organization. It is our open source human achievement research & development project that invites everyone passionate about achievement to be directly involved. The scope of the Open Achievement Project spans both individual & group achievement across all segments of life. The objective of the Project is to involve everyone and create the cutting edge in strategy for further human achievement throughout the future as defined in our Project Mission.
Our R&D Project consists of Project Initiatives, with specific focuses defined by their creators, where the Initiatives are carried forward by their own leaders & contributors. We are currently designing & developing a sophisticated open platform that will allow for any individual or group ambitious & capable enough to establish their own Project Initiative and seek out support for it. In the meantime, you get involved by joining and contributing to our initial Initiatives.
Open Achievement Community
In addition to our R&D Project, we are currently working to establish a leading Community centered on the subject of achievement. Having open & direct public involvement is at the core of the Open Achievement philosophy and we feel that the founding premise of Open Achievement can potentially support one of the most prominent communities ever of people interested in achieving further in life. In the beginning, this community will exist as online discussion forums and will expand out from there as Open Achievement grows. We hope to eventually have a flourishing worldwide community both online and in the real world.
Initially, we will freeze all posting abilities within our online community until we have generated enough interest to successfully launch the community. So please go ahead and indicate your desire to contribute to the community as we would like to launch the Open Achievement Community ASAP! Let’s make it happen and build a world class community here at Open Achievement!
